About the Company
Our client is an established and dynamic architectural interior and design firm specializing in premium fit-out and project-based solutions. Due to their ongoing operational success, they are seeking a versatile and seasoned Accounts cum Administration Manager to oversee their full-spectrum financial and administrative operations in Kuala Lumpur.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Country Manager, you will manage the day-to-day accounting, financial planning, compliance, and office administration functions. This dual-function leadership role ensures seamless operations, accurate financial health, and robust administrative workflows across the company's project divisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Finance & Accounting Management
Full-Set Accounting: Manage the full spectrum of accounts, including financial reporting, audit schedules, corporate tax submissions, and employee EA forms.
Cash Flow & AR/AP: Supervise invoicing, credit notes, and expense tracking. Closely monitor project-related financial collections, including bank drafts, retention sums, tender/performance bonds, and aging receivables.
Treasury & Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy across all corporate financial records.
Taxation & Compliance: Prepare and execute timely submissions for Sales and Service Tax (SST) and manage withholding tax liabilities..
Project Costing Support: Maintain dedicated project accounts, partnering with Quantity Surveyors (QS) and internal project teams to govern project costs and finalize account closures.
2. Office Administration, Compliance & Operational Support
Corporate Governance: Establish and maintain robust archiving/documentation systems adhering to ISO standards and internal quality requirements..
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax agents, legal secretaries, banking partners, and government agencies.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years of professional experience spanning accounting and administration.
Industry Background: Strong preference for candidates originating from interior design, corporate fit-out, construction, architecture, engineering, or related project-based environments.
