• Develop, execute, and monitor the plant-wide HSE strategy, encompassing occupational health, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and site safety policies.
• Drive complete alignment with local legislation, approved codes of practice, and corporate HSE standards through structured compliance audit programs and inspector engagements.
• Manage chemical hazard programs - including SDS maintenance, chemical inventory labeling, floor markings, and task-based risk assessments - to prevent plant hazards.
• Lead prompt investigations into all accidents, near-misses, and injuries, reporting findings to management and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Educate and train supervisory and production teams on safe operating procedures, PPE compliance, ergonomics, housekeeping, and required legislative certifications.
• Oversee plant personal protective equipment (PPE), work clothing, and safety equipment programs in line with operating budgets and corporate standards.
• Serve as Safety Committee Co-Chairperson, maintaining active safety messaging and delivering regular HSE updates and recommendations to senior management.
• Maintain confidential health, environmental, and medical records, ensuring timely upload of all accident data and HSE metrics into global reporting portals.
