about the role
This is a highly hands-on role focusing on full-set accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, and audit coordination. You will own the accounting process end-to-end, partnering with stakeholders across different countries and functions.
The ideal candidate is comfortable operating independently while maintaining strict accuracy, compliance, and reporting discipline. This position is the perfect fit for Big 4 alumni or experienced MNC accounting professionals looking for broader regional ownership within a growing international business.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Set & Month-End Close: Own the month-end close activities for assigned regional entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, management reports, and detailed variance analysis.
Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules. Ensure strict compliance with IFRS / US GAAP reporting requirements and internal accounting policies.
Multi-Entity Operations: Support complex multi-entity and multi-currency accounting activities across different countries.
Audit & Tax Coordination: Coordinate seamlessly with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries across various jurisdictions to support corporate tax filings and statutory compliance.
Process & Controls Improvement: Perform thorough balance sheet reconciliations. Identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen internal controls and SOX compliance.
Systems & Projects: Maintain accounting accuracy and reporting integrity within SAP S/4HANA. Support ad hoc finance projects, system enhancements, and regional finance initiatives.
Key Requirements
Education & Qualifications: Degree in Accounting or Finance with an active professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent).
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of strong, hands-on experience in full-set accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close.
Background: Prior experience in a Big 4 audit firm or a Multinational Corporation (MNC) is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Solid exposure to IFRS and/or US GAAP environments.
Experience supporting audits, reconciliations, and statutory compliance.
Working knowledge of SOX and internal controls.
Experience using ERP systems, with SAP S/4HANA highly preferred.
Advantageous Skills (Nice-to-Have):
Multi-country accounting or regional finance exposure, with experience coordinating with overseas stakeholders.
Exposure to high-growth, fast-scaling environments.
Background in infrastructure, data centers, real estate, or capital-intensive industries.
