Our client is a global leader in semiconductor and microelectronics manufacturing. We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their high-volume manufacturing team based in Melaka.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving process yield optimization, maintaining stringent quality standards, and ensuring seamless change management for advanced assembly and surface-mount technology (SMT) processes.

- Yield & Process Optimization: Lead process improvement initiatives to maximize assembly yield and minimize cycle time for lots on hold.
- Quality & Defect Management: Take ownership of quality topics, including customer complaint investigations, MRB (Material Review Board) dispositions, and Assembly & Test lot on-hold resolutions.
- Data-Driven Project Support: Perform in-depth data analysis to support project teams, facilitating smooth project releases and robust change management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to implement root-cause solutions and drive continuous improvement on the manufacturing floor.

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering discipline.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on working experience in high-volume semiconductor assembly or SMT manufacturing environments.
- Technical Expertise:
- SMT Pick & Place: Experience with ASM equipment.
- Reflow Systems: Proficiency with BTU and Heller Ovens.
- Screen Printing: Hands-on knowledge of ASM / Yamaha screen printers.
- Inspection: Direct experience with Koh Young Automated Optical Inspection (AOI/FAV) systems.
- Methodologies & Tools: Strong command of 8D Problem Solving, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- Communication & Software: strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data presentation and technical reporting.
