About the Opportunity
We are currently representing a prominent multinational leader in the semiconductor industry to recruit a high-caliber Staff Engineer. This is a critical role for a hands-on technical expert to oversee equipment performance, maintain strong principal-client relationships, and drive technical excellence within the wafer fabrication sector.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Technical Support: Perform end-to-end equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and direct technical support to ensure minimal operational downtime for clients.
Reporting & Compliance: Maintain accurate daily maintenance logs; compile and present weekly and monthly equipment performance reports to stakeholders.
System Modifications & Acceptance: Execute equipment acceptance testing, continuous improvement initiatives, and technical system modifications.
Technical Training: Deliver operational and maintenance training on equipment to internal technical teams and external clients.
Client Engagement & Business Growth: Gather and analyze customer feedback to build long-term client relationships; identify opportunities to promote spare parts sales and equipment upgrades.
Cross-Cultural Coordination: Facilitate effective communication between foreign principals and local customers to strengthen technical rapport and project execution.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or above in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related discipline).
Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience specifically within the Semiconductor Wafer Fabrication (Wafer Fab) industry (Essential).
Technical Aptitude: Fast learner with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and practical technical skills.
Language Proficiency: Strong command of English. Spoken and written proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred to liaise effectively with key business partners and principals in China.
Soft Skills: Excellent proactive attitude, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage key principal-client relationships independently.
