To spearhead our next phase of strategic growth and digital transformation, we are seeking a dynamic and commercially-astute CFO with a distinguished background in managing large-scale Public Listed Companies (PLCs) in Malaysia.
The Role
The CFO will serve as a strategic co-pilot to the Group CEO and a key advisor to the Board of Directors. You will lead a high-performing finance organization, bridging the gap between sophisticated Bursa Malaysia governance and the operational agility required for a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role demands a leader who can drive enterprise-wide value through strategic cost management, capital investment, and robust performance management.
Key Accountabilities
1. Strategic Leadership & PLC Governance
Board & Stakeholder Advisory: Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board on corporate strategy, portfolio planning, and financial performance.
Corporate Governance: Ensure full compliance with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Securities Commission guidelines, and technical standards including MFRS/IFRS and US GAAP.
Investor Relations: Lead corporate exercises, manage banking facility relationships, and communicate the group’s financial health to the investment community.
Strategic Planning: Facilitate annual strategic planning and long-range cycles across business units to align long-term strategy with operational execution.
2. Manufacturing & Supply Chain Finance
Plant Performance: Partner with plant and operational leaders to drive productivity, efficiency, and operational excellence across multiple manufacturing sites.
Cost Management: Lead strategic cost-saving initiatives, including product costing revisions and standard costing improvements to protect margins.
Capital Investment: Oversee CAPEX submissions and project governance for new production facilities and equipment upgrades.
Supply Chain Optimization: Drive working capital management, focusing on inventory optimization, procurement efficiency, and supplier relationship management.
3. Finance Transformation & Operations
Digitalization: Drive the implementation of advanced ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and automation tools to enhance reporting efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
Internal Controls & Risk: Strengthen the Group's internal control framework, focusing on SOX principles and enterprise risk management.
Tax & Treasury: Oversee comprehensive tax planning, transfer pricing strategies, and liquidity management to support regional expansion.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience: 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5–10 years in a senior leadership role (CFO or Finance Director) within a large-scale, Malaysian-listed manufacturing company.
Qualifications: Professional membership in the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) is essential. Fellowship in CPA Australia or ACCA is highly preferred.
