The Technical Product Specialist is a strategic commercial position focused on driving specification sales and expanding market share within advanced engineering sectors. Moving beyond traditional sales, you will act as a trusted technical consultant, translating mechanical features into efficiency and safety benchmarks for engineers and procurement heads.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell a comprehensive range of premium hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to key account dealers and industrial end-users.
- Conduct high-impact, onsite technical product demonstrations to showcase tool efficiency, ergonomic safety, and precision in high-stakes environments.
- Cultivate and manage long-term relationships across the Aerospace, Railway, and Heavy Industry sectors by delivering tailored mechanical solutions.
- Deliver professional, structured technical training to distributors and corporate end-users on equipment application and maintenance protocols.
- Manage a broad geographic territory covering West and East Malaysia to expand the client base and achieve regional sales targets.
- Coordinate with internal technical support and regional supply chain teams to guarantee exceptional after-sales service and customer satisfaction.
Skills & Experience Required
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years in industrial B2B sales, OR over 4 years of hands-on technical experience (e.g., Aircraft Technician, Heavy Machinery Engineer).
- Strong commercial ambition with a demonstrated desire to transition into a high-growth, client-facing sales career.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build immediate rapport with specialized workshop engineers.
