About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Brand Manager for New Product Development (NPD) to lead strategic innovation and renovation initiatives across the product portfolio. Working closely with Business Unit leadership, this role drives the end-to-end NPD pipeline from concept ideation through to launch, ensuring initiatives are consumer-led, commercially viable, and executed with excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the NPD roadmap aligned with brand and business strategies.
- Identify market gaps, emerging consumer trends, and portfolio opportunities through research and data insights.
- Champion and manage the full NPD pipeline, including ideation, feasibility, formulation, packaging, pricing, testing, and commercialization.
- Translate consumer insights into compelling product concepts, benefit statements, and claim support.
- Develop comprehensive business cases, including volume, revenue, and profit projections for new launches.
- Serve as cross-functional project lead across R&D, Regulatory, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to ensure projects stay on time and within budget.
- Support go-to-market planning, positioning, launch materials, promotional plans, and P.R. activations in partnership with Brand and Trade teams.
- Monitor post-launch performance, conduct learning reviews, and present development updates to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Science, or related field; MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in product development, innovation, consumer insights, or brand management in FMCG or consumer goods.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing multiple new products or portfolio renovations from concept to market.
- Strong expertise in stage-gate innovation processes, product storytelling, and claims development.
- Solid commercial acumen with the ability to balance consumer desirability, financial viability, and operational feasibility.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and experienced with syndicated retail data platforms (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar)
