Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive accounting tasks including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and the general ledger.
- Ensure the prompt creation of monthly management accounts, complete with account schedules, listings, and cash flow analyses.
- Prepare annual financial statements and related schedules timely, ensuring compliance with the Companies Act and accounting standards.
- Oversee the company’s cash management, focusing on credit control, efficient collection of receivables, and timely payments to suppliers and creditors.
- Develop financial budgets forecasting revenue, expenses, and financing requirements.
- Keep accurate financial records in line with regulatory standards and submit necessary statutory returns.
- Conduct daily financial operations, including billing, handling bank transactions, issuing purchase orders, managing payments, and overseeing petty cash.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, the company secretary, and banking institutions.
- Organize and oversee the monthly duty schedule for non-executive personnel (drivers and maintenance staff) and compile reports on monthly staff overtime.
- Adhere to and help refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring proper record-keeping and filing.
- Address administrative tasks as needed.
- Lead efforts towards adopting more environmentally friendly and sustainable practices, including the use of digital and cloud-based solutions.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a similar professional accounting certification.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a related role.
- Proficiency with digital tools, particularly Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, OneDrive), with experience in MYOB accounting software being beneficial.
- Goal-driven and well-organized.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
