Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Corporate Finance Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in corporate finance, with expertise in M&A transactions, IPOs, and corporate strategy. The Corporate Finance Assistant Manager will play a key role in supporting senior management in executing strategic initiatives and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of M&A transactions, including conducting financial analysis, performing due diligence, and preparing transaction documentation.
- Support the IPO process from inception to completion, including coordinating with various stakeholders, preparing financial models and presentations, and liaising with regulatory authorities.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of corporate strategies to enhance shareholder value and drive long-term growth.
- Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and business plans to support strategic decision-making and financial planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, tax, and accounting professionals, to ensure smooth execution of transactions and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in meetings with clients, investors, and other stakeholders to present findings, provide recommendations, and address inquiries.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in corporate finance to contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
- Mentor and train junior team members, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional development and growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or CFA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or financial advisory services, with a focus on M&A, IPOs, and corporate strategy.
- Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in valuation techniques, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis (CCA), and precedent transactions.
- Excellent analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, financial markets, and industry dynamics in Malaysia.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and financial analysis tools.
