about the job
- conduct software development life cycles, encompassing planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing phases.
- review product/feature requirements and create software requirement specification documents.
- develop and execute unit test cases for all features developed or bug fixes when necessary.
- produce software for equipment, ensuring stability and compliance with customer specifications.
- collaborate closely with other engineering groups to assess the interface between hardware and software, as well as the operational and performance requirements of the overall system.
- prepare and review software documentation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and effort estimations provided by other software engineers.
- deliver training sessions to other members of the software team for knowledge sharing.
- handle any additional assignments falling within the scope of primary objectives on an ad-hoc basis.
knowledge, skills and experience
- possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer/Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic/Electromechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in software programming or the machine automation industry.
- robust expertise in software programming, encompassing C, C++, OOP, and non-OOP.
- effective verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to articulate technical information and ideas clearly.
- adaptability to varying environments and the capacity to work in accordance with priorities.
- advantageous experience in the Semiconductor industry.
- familiarity with hardware development involving components such as motors, sensors, or actuators is advantageous.
- demonstrated commitment to learning and a continuous improvement mindset.
- possession of strong ethics, diplomatic approach, patience, effective listening skills, and the ability to interact seamlessly with diverse groups of individuals.
- sharp problem-solving skills, coupled with a creative and innovative approach to out-of-the-box problem-solving.
- willingness and flexibility to travel when required (up to 10%).
