Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Executive to join our finance team. This role is responsible for supporting accounting operations with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, statutory reporting, and government liaison, particularly with agencies such as MITI, MIDA, Customs, IRB, MOF, BNM, and others. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a manufacturing environment and working knowledge of import/export documentation and government approvals.
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
Professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Hands-on experience in dealing with government bodies such as MITI, MIDA, Customs, IRB, MOF, and BNM is required.
Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is advantageous.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in monthly account closing activities including bank reconciliations and journal entries.
Prepare and execute payments to government bodies (e.g., IRB, Customs, MAQIS), ensuring timely and accurate statutory compliance.
Prepare statutory vouchers, including salary and loan-related vouchers, and perform reconciliation with payroll records.
Ensure manufacturing compliance by securing necessary approvals and permits from MITI, MIDA, Customs, MOF, BNM, etc.
Prepare and submit quarterly and monthly reports including:
Risk management reports
Management accounts for dormant entities
Sales and service tax returns
Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) quarterly international investment reports
Customs reports for duty-free raw materials and components
Submit permit applications for the return of manufacturing materials (e.g., spools, racks, steel).
Support and respond to audit requests and queries from internal/external auditors and government authorities.
Assist in the annual statutory audit, including the preparation of required documentation and analysis.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by the Finance HOD.
Maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement of accounting procedures and compliance workflows.
