As a Senior Fund Accountant, you'll be a key player in providing seamless fund administration services to our private equity fund clients, including asset and fund managers. This full-time role based in Kuala Lumpur offers a fantastic opportunity to deepen your expertise in private equity accounting, leverage cutting-edge technology, and contribute to a team committed to accuracy and client satisfaction.What You'll Do
Your responsibilities will include:
- Fund Accounting Services: Prepare and process transactions and other crucial fund accounting outputs for subsequent review.
- Client & Investor Support: Provide direct support to respond to queries from clients and/or their investors.
- Fee Calculations: Prepare and/or review various fee calculations, such as management fees, capital call amounts, distribution amounts, carried interest, and waterfall, ensuring accuracy against applicable fund terms.
- Statements & Notices: Prepare and/or review essential statements and notices, including investor capital call and distribution notices.
- Ad-hoc Reporting: Prepare and/or review ad-hoc requests for fund- and investor-specific reports and analysis.
- Periodic Reporting & Audit Support: Prepare and/or review periodic (monthly/quarterly/annually) fund reports and provide comprehensive support for annual audits.
- SPV Accounting: Prepare and/or review accounting for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).
- Accuracy & Timeliness: Ensure all deliverables are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
- Payment Support: Provide essential payment support to clients.
- Regulatory Reporting: Understand and assist clients with other vital reporting requirements, such as CRS/FATCA, VAT, and K1s.
- Audit Inquiry Resolution: Help clients address and resolve audit inquiries from external auditors during year-end audits.
- Service Model Definition: Participate in pre-project discussions with clients to define detailed service models for specific engagements when required.
- Technology Integration: Participate in leveraging internal and external technology solutions to meet the complex reporting and data requirements of clients.
- Automation & Value-Add: Gain exposure to and learn the latest technology solutions in the asset servicing industry, driving automation to reduce manual bookings and deliver more value-added services.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Who We're Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field with a major in Accounting.
- An internationally recognized accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA) or currently undertaking such professional qualifications is highly regarded.
- You have a minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting with a specialty in private equity, or a strong combination of audit/fund administration and private equity funds experience.
- You possess a solid understanding of different accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP).

- You have strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- You are able to work under pressure, multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- You demonstrate high integrity and accountability for proposing solutions, managing time effectively, and reporting back to management promptly.
- You are detail-oriented, analytical, capable of performing work with high accuracy, and are a mature, self-motivated individual.
- You possess good problem-solving skills and are a collaborative team player.
- You approach your work in a proactive manner with excellent organizing and planning skills.
- Fluency in both spoken and written English is essential. Proficiency in spoken Chinese Mandarin is required to communicate with our prospects in China.
- You are proficient in Excel and other Windows-based software.
