As we continue to scale our operations, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Malaysian finance professional to join our team on-site to support and strengthen our finance function.
Role Overview:
As the Assistant Finance Manager, you will be stationed at the plantation site and play a key role in overseeing financial operations, driving cost efficiency, supporting strategic planning, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your expertise in both plantation and FMCG environments will be crucial in managing operational complexities and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations at the plantation site.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support operational decisions.
Monitor and control plantation-related costs to ensure financial efficiency.
Prepare and review monthly management reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities.
Work closely with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to align financial goals.
Implement and improve finance SOPs and systems on-site.
Support capex planning and investment analysis.
Requirements:
Malaysian citizen (mandatory).
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/MBA is a plus.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in finance roles within plantation and/or FMCG sectors.
Strong knowledge of plantation cost structures, production cycles, and related accounting practices.
Proficient in financial systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Comfortable working in a plantation setting and willing to be based on-site.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and thrive in a cross-functional team environment.
