About the Role
We are looking for a high-calibre finance professional to join our Melaka operations as an Assistant Manager – Financial Controlling. This role is part of a fast-track talent development program aimed at grooming future finance leaders for our regional and global organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical competence, business acumen, and leadership potential.

Key Responsibilities
Trade Affairs Compliance: Oversee local trade compliance in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Financial & Management Accounting: Handle full spectrum of accounting functions, including accurate preparation of financial statements and government reporting.
Reporting & Controls: Ensure timely Group and Statutory reporting while maintaining robust internal financial controls.
Tax & Managerial Reporting: Support tax computation, reporting, and analysis to ensure full compliance and optimization opportunities.
Internal Controls: Assist in ensuring compliance with internal control frameworks, policies, and audit requirements.
Business Partnering: Work closely with the site and regional teams to support financial planning, analysis, business case evaluations, and cost-saving initiatives.
Functional Rotation Opportunities: Participate in short-term assignments across Finance, Legal, Operations, Commercial Controlling, and Pricing to gain holistic business exposure.
Finance Projects: Contribute to and lead finance-related projects and process improvements with measurable business impact.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
3–5 years of relevant experience in financial controlling, audit, or FP&A (preferably in MNCs or audit firms such as Big 4).
Excellent command of accounting principles, local regulatory standards, and international reporting standards.
High learning agility and a strong desire to grow into a leadership role within the next few years.
Solid interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across functional teams.
Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complexity.
