We are seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a publicly listed manufacturing company based in Malaysia’s northern region. This role is critical in leading the financial health, governance, and strategic direction of the company. The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, driving financial performance, investor confidence, and long-term business sustainability.
Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and Board on financial strategy, capital planning, and long-term value creation.
Provide strategic leadership in evaluating business expansion, joint ventures, and M&A opportunities.
Oversee preparation and accuracy of consolidated financial statements, reports to Bursa Malaysia, quarterly earnings, and annual reports.
Ensure timely and compliant reporting under MFRS/IFRS and Bursa Malaysia listing requirements.
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across group entities.
Partner with operations, production, and supply chain teams to drive cost control, working capital optimization, and productivity improvements.
Provide financial insights for pricing strategies, investment decisions, and capacity planning.
Manage relationships with investors, analysts, and regulatory bodies.
Support investor engagement, AGMs, and disclosures to maintain market confidence and regulatory compliance.
Oversee capital raising exercises, dividend policies, and funding strategies.
Lead enterprise risk management and internal control initiatives across the group.
Ensure compliance with tax, audit, treasury, and statutory obligations locally and regionally.
Liaise with external auditors, company secretary, tax consultants, and legal counsel.
Lead and mentor the finance team to build capability, succession planning, and a performance-driven culture.
Drive continuous improvement through automation, digital reporting tools, and best practices.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent; Professional Qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA is required.
Minimum 15 years of finance experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO or senior finance leadership role, preferably in a listed manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in financial reporting, treasury, investor relations, and business partnering within a production-intensive company.
Strong working knowledge of MFRS, Bursa Malaysia listing rules, and regulatory frameworks.
Familiarity with ERP systems, manufacturing cost structures, and group consolidation.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.
Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage due to engagement with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
Experience in working with public listed companies or in IPO preparation.
Exposure to cross-border manufacturing operations (ASEAN, China, etc.).
Hands-on approach with strong business acumen and high integrity.
