... - Oversee, operate, and maintain electrical systems, including high-voltage equipment, switchgears, transformers, and power distribution units.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, implementing corrective actions to maintain a continuous power supply.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors to schedule maintenance and repair activities.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical operations, maintenance activities, and inspection logs.
- Conduct risk assessments, lead safety briefings, and enforce safe work procedures within the team.
- Register and maintain Competency Qualification with Suruhanjaya Tenaga, ensuring all electrical systems are in optimal condition.
- Support energy management initiatives to reduce power consumption and enhance sustainability.
skills and experience required
- Chargeman BO 33kV certified by the Energy Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in high-voltage (HV) operation and maintenance, preferably in a retail or commercial environment.
- Experience in preventive maintenance, calibration of M&E equipment, and building structure maintenance.
- Practical experience in managing both major and routine electrical shutdowns.
- Strong knowledge of the Electricity Supply Act, Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations, and IEE Wiring Regulations.
- Must be able to be on-call and respond promptly to emergency situations within the shopping mall.
- Able to work on Saturdays.
