This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, technical expertise in offshore construction, and a commitment to safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in supervising multidisciplinary teams on large-scale offshore projects, preferably with direct FPSO experience.
Key Responsibilities:
On-site Supervision: Supervise and direct all construction activities, ensuring that work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
Safety Leadership: Champion a world-class safety culture on-site. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company and client HSE policies, and conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
Work Coordination: Liaise and coordinate with various discipline supervisors (Structural, Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation, etc.) to ensure seamless integration of construction activities.
Resource Management: Manage and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials effectively to meet project milestones.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Track daily and weekly construction progress, identify potential delays or issues, and prepare accurate progress reports for the Construction Manager.
Quality Control: Work closely with the QC team to ensure that all construction work meets the required quality standards and specifications.
Permit to Work (PTW) System: Oversee the Permit to Work system to ensure that all work is conducted under controlled and safe conditions.
Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to the construction crews, resolving any on-site technical queries or challenges.
Subcontractor Management: Supervise and monitor the performance of subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project requirements.
Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact on-site for construction-related matters, liaising with the project management team, client representatives, and classification society surveyors.
