Job Purpose
To support the company’s strategic growth initiatives through the identification, evaluation, and execution of corporate development opportunities, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and strategic investments across the group’s diversified portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the formulation and refinement of the Group’s corporate strategy and long-term business plans.
Lead and manage end-to-end execution of M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnership initiatives, including deal sourcing, financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, and post-deal integration.
Prepare and review investment proposals and approval papers, incorporating market research, business case development, financial and sensitivity analysis, and risk assessment.
Build and/or oversee the development of financial models and perform financial analysis to support investment and strategic decision-making.
Engage and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., business units, advisors, legal, regulatory bodies) to ensure smooth execution of corporate development initiatives.
Monitor market trends, industry developments, and macroeconomic indicators to identify potential risks and opportunities for the Group.
Support corporate finance activities such as capital allocation, capital structure optimization, and strategic funding initiatives.
Track the performance of completed investments and strategic projects to ensure alignment with expected returns and group objectives.
Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members to foster continuous learning and high-performance culture.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, ICAEW, or MBA are an advantage.
5–8 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, or M&A within a corporate environment.
Proven experience in evaluating and executing complex transactions including acquisitions, divestments, partnerships, and capital projects.
Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and dynamic environment.
Preferred Industry Background
Conglomerates, real estate, energy, infrastructure, financial services, or related sectors.
