Job Title: Senior Manager, Corporate Finance
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Manager, Corporate Finance to lead strategic financial initiatives across the Group. This role involves oversight of corporate financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, treasury management, financial analysis, risk governance, and execution of corporate exercises such as M&A and fundraising. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial and operational controls, corporate strategy, and risk management within a property development environment.
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting & Forecasting
Collaborate with project and business unit leaders to develop the Group’s annual budget and long-term forecasts.
Conduct financial feasibility studies for new and existing projects.
Prepare and review variance analyses between budgeted and actual results, and recommend corrective actions.
Assess and recommend funding requests and budget proposals.
Conduct cost-benefit analyses and scenario modelling to support strategic decision-making.
Generate periodical financial reports and strategic financial updates for senior management.
Treasury
Identify and recommend optimal financing options in collaboration with local and international banks and financial institutions.
Prepare loan applications, financial models, projections, and business cases to support funding proposals.
Lead negotiations with banks on loan terms, interest rates, repayment structures, and covenants.
Monitor and manage liquidity, ensuring optimal cash flow and debt facility performance across the Group.
Oversee the placement of excess funds to maximize returns within approved risk parameters.
Prepare treasury reports, including debt schedules, interest analysis, and cash flow scenario planning.
SOP and Risk Management
Establish, implement, and maintain financial SOPs and internal control frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate governance standards.
Develop and maintain financial risk registers, risk management policies, and governance frameworks.
Oversee risk monitoring activities and prepare risk dashboards for executive and board-level reporting.
Corporate Exercises
Lead and execute corporate finance initiatives including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, divestments, and fundraising exercises.
Manage due diligence processes, financial modelling, valuations, and feasibility studies for corporate transactions.
Collaborate with external advisors, auditors, and legal counsel in structuring and executing deals.
Others
Perform special projects and other ad-hoc assignments as directed by senior management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) are an advantage.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, with exposure to audit, treasury, and strategic finance.
Prior experience in a public listed company and/or property development industry is preferred.
Strong command of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Proven experience liaising with external auditors, tax agents, legal advisors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with a detail-oriented and structured approach to problem-solving.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
High level of integrity, independence, and ability to perform under tight deadlines.
