Senior Manager, Corporate Planning

As part of our ongoing growth and transformation initiatives, we are seeking a dynamic and analytical Senior Manager, Corporate Planning, to be based in Johor and work closely with senior leadership to drive strategic planning, business performance management, and corporate initiatives.
Role Summary:Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Strategy / Chief Financial Officer (depending on structure), the Senior Manager, Corporate Planning will play a key role in formulating, monitoring, and executing the Group’s strategic and business plans. The incumbent will also lead financial and operational analysis to support decision-making, corporate development activities, and long-term growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning and Corporate Development:
Lead the formulation and periodic review of the Group’s long-term strategic plans and annual business plans.
Conduct strategic analysis, including market research, competitor benchmarking, and macroeconomic trend monitoring to support management decisions.
Drive corporate development initiatives, including feasibility studies for new projects, partnerships, or investments.
Support M&A, joint ventures, and other corporate exercises when required.
Business and Financial Planning:
Coordinate the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes, working closely with business units and senior management.
Develop financial models and scenario analyses to assess business opportunities, project viability, and risk exposure.
Monitor and track actual performance against budget and strategic KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
Management Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare high-quality management reports, Board papers, and presentations on business performance, strategic projects, and special assignments.
Identify operational efficiencies and areas for cost optimization across the Group.
Highlight key risks and opportunities, and proactively recommend strategic or tactical actions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with business units, project teams, and Group functions to align on corporate planning objectives.
Act as a liaison for external consultants, advisors, and government/regulatory bodies for corporate strategy or development matters where necessary.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline. MBA or professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, ACCA) are highly advantageous.
Minimum 8–12 years’ relevant experience in corporate planning, corporate strategy, consulting, or investment banking, preferably within property development, real estate, or large conglomerates.
Strong financial modeling, strategic analysis, and business case development skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia an added advantage).
High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and management reporting tools.
Strong business acumen and strategic mindset, with attention to detail and execution discipline.
Resourceful, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and complex stakeholder landscapes.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision and lead cross-functional initiatives.
