about the job
- Policy and Procedure Development: Assisting in the development and implementation of quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) procedures, policies, and standards. This often involves working with frameworks like ISO 9001.
- Audits and Inspections: Conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. This includes preparing for audits by external bodies.
- Process Improvement: Monitoring production and operational processes to identify areas for quality improvement. This can involve conducting root cause analysis for quality issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Reporting: Preparing and presenting quality reports to senior management, detailing performance metrics, audit findings, and improvement initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Supervising and mentoring a team of QA/QC staff, providing guidance, and ensuring their work aligns with the company's quality objectives.
- System Management: Overseeing the company's document control system, which manages the lifecycle of all essential documents from creation and approval to distribution, revision, and archiving. This often involves using a dedicated document management software.
- Procedure Implementation: Developing and enforcing document control procedures to ensure all documentation is handled consistently and accurately. This includes managing document numbering, filing, and retrieval processes.
- Version Control: Ensuring that the latest versions of all documents are readily available and that obsolete documents are properly archived to prevent their use.
- Compliance: Verifying that all organizational documents, including technical drawings, procedures, and records, comply with legal, regulatory, and quality requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with various departments (e.g., engineering, production, legal, IT) to integrate quality and document control processes into their workflows.
- Supplier Management: Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to resolve quality issues and ensure they meet the organization's quality standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serving as a key point of contact for all matters related to quality and documentation, both internally and with external stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies.

skills and experience required
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, quality management, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or document control, with some experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001), statistical analysis, and regulatory compliance.
- Experienced in handling data center projects is preferable.
- Willing to relocate be based in Johor.
