On behalf of our client, we are seeking a heavyweight, operationally grounded Human Resources Director to serve as the chief organizational fixer and compliance anchor for their flagship operations. This role is a direct replacement for a retiring incumbent and requires an individual with a strong backbone, excellent legal literacy, and the capability to execute hands-on structural changes.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Operational & Policy Clean-up: Reviewing, harmonizing, and streamlining legacy campus policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the comprehensive employee handbook.
- Industrial Relations & Governance: Serving as the ultimate authority on Malaysian Labor Law, managing employee grievances, conducting Domestic Inquiries (DIs), and protecting the institution from legal and regulatory exposure.
- Faculty & Expatriate Compliance: Overseeing complex academic credentials tracking, Ministry of Education (MOE) regulatory alignment, and Expatriate Services Division (ESD) visa/passport workflows for foreign faculty.
- Workforce Optimization: Managing end-to-end recruitment pipelines, workforce planning, and implementing balanced performance evaluation metrics across a dual corporate and academic workforce structure.
