- Conduct regular inspections of architectural works (finishes, facade, roofing, etc.), ensuring adherence to contract documents and quality standards. Identify and report discrepancies or defects promptly.
- Prepare and maintain detailed daily site reports, progress reports, and inspection records. Document all site activities and maintain organized project files.
- Liaise effectively with the Architect, other consultants, contractors, and authorities. Attend site meetings, resolve technical issues, and ensure clear communication of instructions.
- Monitor work progress against schedules, ensure compliance with local regulations, and assist in verifying contractor claims and variations.
- Oversee defect rectification during the liability period and conduct final inspections to ensure satisfactory completion before handover.
requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Architectural Science, Architectural Technology, Building Science, Building Technology, or a related field approved by the Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM).
- Minimum of 5-8 years of practical experience as an Architectural Inspector of Works or similar role in Malaysian building construction projects.
- Must be registered with the Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM) as an Inspector of Works (IOW)
