Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Manager – APAC to oversee and manage the corporate insurance portfolio across the Asia Pacific region. The role will be responsible for assessing regional insurance needs, coordinating with global insurance brokers and underwriters, managing policy renewals and claims, and ensuring comprehensive risk transfer strategies are in place to support business continuity and resilience across diverse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Insurance Program Management

  • Manage all aspects of corporate insurance programs across APAC, including but not limited to Property & Casualty, Business Interruption, Marine Cargo, D&O, Cyber, and Employee Benefits (as applicable).

  • Lead annual insurance renewals and negotiations in coordination with global risk and insurance teams, brokers, and underwriters.

• Risk Transfer & Advisory

  • Evaluate insurance needs for ongoing and new operations/projects across the region.

  • Advise internal stakeholders (finance, legal, operations, HR, etc.) on appropriate insurance coverages and contractual risk transfer clauses.

• Claims Management

  • Lead and coordinate the claims management process including investigation, documentation, reporting, and settlement.

  • Act as the main liaison between internal stakeholders and external parties (insurers, loss adjusters, lawyers).

• Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory insurance requirements across all APAC countries.

  • Maintain accurate insurance records, certificates, policy schedules, and dashboards for senior management reporting.

• Process & Controls

  • Implement and enhance risk management policies and procedures related to insurance.

  • Conduct periodic insurance audits, gap analyses, and policy benchmarking.

• Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with global risk, legal, procurement, and finance teams to ensure alignment with corporate insurance strategy.

  • Manage relationships with regional and global brokers and insurers.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business, or equivalent.

• Professional certifications such as ACII, ANZIIF, ARM, or equivalent would be an added advantage.

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in corporate insurance, risk management, or insurance brokerage, with at least 3 years in a regional/APAC-focused role.

• Experience in handling insurance programs for large, complex organizations or multinationals across multiple jurisdictions.

• Strong knowledge of insurance markets across Asia Pacific, and familiarity with key regulatory requirements.

• Experience managing large claims and working across multi-country environments.
