About the Role:
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Senior Consultant / Consultant to join our M&A Advisory team, specialising in strategic transactions involving large conglomerates and high-value corporate clients. You will play a key role in executing end-to-end M&A deals, from origination to post-deal integration, in collaboration with seasoned dealmakers and partners. Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Deal Origination & Analysis
Support senior team members in deal sourcing, pipeline development, and client pitches
Conduct industry research, market mapping, and identification of potential targets or buyers
Assist in preparation of teasers, pitch books, and information memorandums
🔹 Financial Modelling & Valuation
Build robust financial models, discounted cash flow (DCF), precedent transaction, and trading comparable analyses
Prepare and validate financial forecasts, scenario modelling, and sensitivities for M&A transactions
Assist in synergy evaluation and transaction structuring
🔹 Due Diligence & Execution
Coordinate and support buy-side and sell-side due diligence efforts
Liaise with clients, legal, tax, and technical teams to compile, validate, and review due diligence documentation
Assist in drafting of term sheets, transaction documents, and board presentations
🔹 Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Engage directly with clients, investors, and regulatory bodies to support smooth transaction progress
Participate in management discussions, site visits, and presentation of key findings
Provide post-deal support including integration planning or divestment strategies
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or equivalent
Professional qualifications (ACCA, CFA, CPA, ICAEW) are advantageous
3–6 years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or investment banking
Prior experience with Big 4 or reputable advisory firms preferred
Strong technical proficiency in financial modelling and valuation
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
Highly driven, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus
