● Operate and maintain optical lens cutting and grinding machinery in the KL Laboratory.
● Conduct routine calibration and maintenance checks on all assigned machines.
● Perform first-level machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal operation and efficient work execution.
● Prioritize and execute urgent jobs and orders to meet critical deadlines.
● Perform light and tension inspections on completed lenses to ensure quality.
● Grind and polish edges, and cut drip grooves on the underside of sandstone tables and countertops (where applicable to the optical lens production process).
● Ensure all necessary equipment, tools, and materials are readily available for daily operations.
● Promptly escalate any defects or frame issues to the Edging Supervisor and Lab Manager.
● Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Edging Supervisor.
