We're urgently seeking a R&D Engineer to join a prominent, publicly listed Malaysian company that specialise in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and comprehensive assembly services.

• Report directly to the R&D Manager
• Based in Penang.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee product qualification and production readiness.
• Manage projects from planning to implementation, leading cross-functional teams.
• Review all customer technical documentation.
• Conduct critical manufacturing analyses.
• Develop core manufacturing documentation.
• Act as primary technical liaison for customers.
• Resolve project issues, including post-mortem analysis.
• Improve jigs/fixtures and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Provide technical support/training and manage engineering changes.
• Ensure compliance.
• Prepare key reports and monitor project risks.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: Native sheet metal fabrication, CAD, and CAM skills.
• Level: Open to both fresh graduates and experienced candidates.
• Language: Chinese proficiency is a plus for stakeholder communication.
