key responsibilities:

Design, develop and maintain robust Android applications primarily using Java (Kotlin is a bonus)
Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend engineers to build seamless user experiences
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications across a range of devices
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices
Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers
Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Identify and fix bugs, and improve application performance and stability
Work with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and native Android frameworks

requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in Android development with a strong emphasis on Java
Proficiency in Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines
Working knowledge of Git, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Kotlin is a nice-to-have, not mandatory

nice to haves:

Exposure to Jetpack components (e.g., LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation)
Experience integrating mobile applications with backend services and third-party APIs
Knowledge of security best practices for Android applications
