about the job
As the Senior HR Business Partner, you will step away from mundane administrative paperwork and drive pure, high-impact strategic HR governance. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Business Partnering: Align business objectives with employees and management for a dedicated business unit of 150–200 headcount.
- IR/ER Champion: Serve as the subject matter expert on Malaysian Employment Act and labor laws, managing employee relations, grievances, and compliance seamlessly.
- Talent & Culture Engagement: Drive local performance management, talent retention strategies, and workforce planning initiatives in tandem with global directives.
The Package & Perks:
- Financials: Competitive basic salary (up to RM 11,500) + RM 300 transport allowance + 13th-month contract bonus.
- Performance Bonus: An exceptional Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) yielding up to 36%.
- Commuter/Relocation Support: 1-month complimentary accommodation, daily on-site lunch provided, and a weekly company shuttle service running between Kuala Lumpur and the site for those maintaining ties in KL.
about the manager/team
In this role, you will enjoy the best of both worlds: strong local ground support and expansive global exposure. You will operate within a mature, lean HR ecosystem, reporting directly into a matrix structure:
- Locally: Partnering closely with a highly collaborative and experienced local HR Manager based on-site in Lumut.
- Globally: Aligning with a visionary, international HR Director based out of the regional hub (Oman).
The team culture is highly professional, resilient, and output-driven. Because the administrative and operational baseline is heavily automated and managed by the CoE, the team environment is highly collaborative, strategic, and focused on proactive problem-solving rather than firefighting daily admin tasks.
