As part of our strategic growth, we seek a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Treasury, to join our Group Finance team.
Role Summary:The Senior Manager, Treasury will be responsible for managing the Group’s treasury operations, ensuring optimal funding structures, and driving fundraising initiatives, including Sukuk issuances and other capital-raising exercises. The role requires strong knowledge of Islamic finance structures, capital markets, banking relationships, and liquidity management.
Key Responsibilities:Fundraising and Capital Markets:
Lead, structure, and execute fundraising initiatives including Sukuk programs, syndicated loans, project financing, and other debt capital market activities.
Manage end-to-end processes for Sukuk issuance, including documentation, regulatory approvals (e.g., SC, BNM), and liaising with advisors, legal counsel, and rating agencies.
Monitor market conditions to identify opportunities for refinancing or new fundraising activities.
Treasury Operations and Cash Management:
Oversee cash flow planning, forecasting, and liquidity management across the Group.
Implement best practices in cash management, hedging strategies, and working capital optimization.
Manage treasury-related policies, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Banking and Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international banks, investors, and financial institutions.
Negotiate competitive financing terms and optimize banking facilities for operational and development needs.
Risk Management:
Identify and manage financial risks, including interest rate, currency, and liquidity risks.
Recommend hedging strategies where necessary to mitigate exposures.
Reporting and Governance:
Provide regular reporting to senior management and the Board on treasury matters, funding status, and risk positions.
Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks, financial covenants, and external regulatory requirements.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. A professional qualification (e.g., CFA, ACCA, ICAEW) is an advantage.
Minimum 8–12 years’ treasury experience, preferably within the property development or large conglomerate sectors.
Proven track record in successfully executing Sukuk issuances and other fundraising initiatives.
Deep understanding of Islamic finance principles, debt capital markets, and banking products.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives, bankers, and external advisors.
Hands-on leader with strategic thinking capabilities.
Familiarity with Malaysian financial regulations, Securities Commission guidelines, and Bank Negara Malaysia policies.
