key responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based enterprise applications
Translate business and technical requirements into high-level solution designs
Collaborate with architects, product owners, and other engineers to ensure system consistency and design integrity
Write well-structured, maintainable, and efficient code using Java/J2EE
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures using Oracle
Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement

requirements:

5+ years of professional experience in software development with a focus on Java/J2EE
Strong working knowledge of Oracle databases, including performance tuning and PL/SQL
Hands-on experience with system design, architecture patterns, and designing for scalability and performance
Familiarity with tools like Eclipse/IntelliJ, Maven/Gradle, Git, and Jenkins
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, multi-tiered architecture, and microservices (a plus)
Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC) is a strong advantage
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team
Strong communication and documentation skills

nice to haves:

Experience in performance optimization and load testing
Exposure to container technologies like Docker/Kubernetes
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
