• Conducting regular and thorough site safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
• Enforcing strict adherence to safety policies, procedures, and relevant occupational safety and health regulations (e.g., DOSH requirements).
• Planning and conducting daily toolbox meetings, safety inductions, and other relevant safety training for site personnel.
• Monitoring the proper use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all workers on site.
• Investigating all incidents, accidents, and near-misses, documenting findings, and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of site-specific safety plans and emergency response procedures.
• Maintaining comprehensive records of safety inspections, incident reports, training logs, and other safety documentation.
• Collaborating with project management, site personnel, and external authorities to promote a strong safety culture and ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), or a related technical field.
• Possess a valid Yellow Book (Registered Safety and Health Officer - SHO) issued by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Malaysia is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian occupational safety and health regulations, including OSHA 1994 and FMA 1967.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and influence site personnel.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to identify and mitigate safety risks.
