does Randstad have standards and protocols that I need to follow while on assignment?
Yes, we are focused on excellence and committed to fostering high levels of professionalism, so before you get started on an assignment, it’s important to familiarise yourself with our “Terms of Service” document.
In summary:
- Randstad expects you to respect the rights of others and to treat them fairly. Harassment of any kind is not acceptable and could result in the conclusion of your work assignment. Similarly, should you find yourself in an uncomfortable situation, do not hesitate to contact your Randstad consultant.
- As you enter different work environments, you’ll be exposed to confidential or personal and sensitive information. Please ensure you keep all information confidential, even after the completion of your assignment and do not breach your contract of service with Randstad and our Clients. During your assignment with the Client, you’re also to comply with the Client’s policies on personal data, confidential information and information security at all times.
- When accessing a Client’s computer network which includes e-mail, intranet and internet, and various software programs, please remember they must be used for business purposes only and that confidentiality of passwords and information is paramount. The use of any systems for personal use or offensive / obscene material is unacceptable and may result in the conclusion of your assignment.
- Except in the case of an emergency, please make personal phone calls only during break times. Switch on do-not-disturb on your mobile and diverted to your voicemail during work hours.
- Be aware that all work places strictly enforce a non-smoking policy.
- On the first day of your assignment, you should familiarise yourself with all the policies, rules and procedures of the Client which apply to your role and ensure that you comply with such policies, rules and procedures at all times during your assignment with the Client. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action. Please contact your Randstad consultant if your supervisor at the Client’s office has not provided you with the relevant policies, rules and procedures for your role.

how do I update my details on MyRandstad?
what do I need to know about completing e-timesheets?
Randstad’s e-timesheeting system allows you to submit your timesheet via our online portal - myRandstad - that is available on your online browser and as a mobile application downloadable on Google Play Store or App Store. For first time users, the Randstad Client Services Team will email a link once your account has been set up and detailed instructions on how to update and complete your timesheets.
Some Randstad Clients require us to use their software for timesheets and shift attendances, and they will provide the information directly with Randstad for our update. If you are placed at one of these sites, your Randstad consultant will ensure that you get all the instructions and training you need to get you started.I am not able to login to submit my timesheets, what should I do?
when do I have to submit my timesheet?
Timesheet submission differs between Contractor and Client. Your weekly or monthly timesheet submission deadline would have been communicated to you during your onboarding session with Randstad.
If you are unclear, please contact your Randstad consultant or email contracting.payroll@randstad.com.my.
how can I claim expenses?
All expenses must be approved by the Client prior to incurring the expense, regardless of whether they are stated in your employment contract.
If you are making claims in foreign currencies, please make sure to provide the value in the foreign currency, the MYR-equivalent value and the foreign exchange rate as per your Credit Card statement or Google.
Please always provide clear documentations as attachments. Claims without a valid attachment will not be approved until one is provided.what is the process for making a leave request?

Yes, you can apply for leave if you have the myRandstad mobile application downloaded in your smartphone. You can find the app for free download on the Google Play Store or App store.
The leave pages and features of the portal are designed to be mobile-friendly and easy to use. However, if you face any issues when using the mobile app, you can always ask for help directly via the live chat or help function.can i see my future leave balance?
when i apply for leave, it says “the leave applied is over my balance.” what does this mean?
This means that as of the date that you apply for leave, there is insufficient balance for this specific leave type. In some circumstances and depending on the set up of your leave entitlements, you may be able to still apply for leave over your balance.
If so, the Client will be informed when you apply that you have insufficient leave balance, and depending on the set up, will be given the option to either approve the leave as “unpaid” or “advanced”. You will be informed of their selection and approval by email.I’m required to work during a public holiday and my manager said I’ll get an off-in-lieu or compensation leave day, how do i apply for this?
Your Randstad consultant will be informed of the arrangements to update your profile on the portal. You will see “off-in-lieu” leave type or compensation leave topped up to your annual paid leave balance. You can select this leave type when applying for your next leave day.
how is my salary or pay rate decided?

There are a few possible reasons as to why your salary has not been debited to your bank account:
• late submission of timesheets
• timesheets are not approved by cut off date
• incomplete documentation (i.e. bank account name, code and account number)

You are an important asset to Randstad, which is why we take all reasonably practicable steps to ensure your health and safety in the workplace when working with our clients. Workplace health and safety is largely about common sense and we ask you to co-operate with Randstad and our clients to ensure your own personal safety and to make sure that your actions do not endanger those around you.
Your safety, and the safety of the people you are working with, depends on your awareness of safe working practices and the need for a safe working environment. Although Randstad acknowledges its obligations to you, safety is a cooperative effort.
You must take responsibility for your own safety by:
- Advising your Randstad consultant prior to starting an assignment and during an assignment if you have any injuries or disabilities which will not allow you to perform your role in a safe manner.
- Informing your Randstad consultant if your ability to perform duties safely in the workplace changes at any time.
- Making sure you know how to perform the job safely before you commence work by reading and complying with the Client’s health and safety policy for the particular office or worksite that you are assigned to.
- Being aware of any safety risks associated with the intended tasks.
- Following all safety instructions of the Client.
- Reporting anything that you feel is unsafe about the equipment, task or work environment to the Client and to your Randstad consultant.
- Avoiding the use of equipment that you are not fully trained to use or unsure how to operate in a safe manner.
- Discussing any aspect of job safety that you are concerned about with your supervisor from the Client and your Randstad consultant.
Please ensure that you are provided with the Client’s health & safety policy/policies before or on the first day of your assignment. Please contact your Randstad consultant if your manager/supervisor at the Client’s office has not provided this to you or if you have any questions or need additional support.
