We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team on a 6-month contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for the integrity of our day-to-day financial operations. We are looking for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a solid background in the manufacturing industry, ensuring our financial processes remain accurate and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will bridge the gap between operational activities and financial reporting, with a focus on:
Financial Operations: Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
Manufacturing Costing Support: Monitor production-related costs and assist in cost accounting activities to ensure accurate inventory and COGS reporting.
Month-End Closing: Support the finance team in the timely and accurate execution of month-end closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliations.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all financial activities align with company policies, statutory requirements, and international accounting standards.
Ad-Hoc Support: Assist the finance department with process improvements, audit preparations, and any other strategic projects as required by management.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance professional who understands the specific nuances of a manufacturing environment.
Education & Experience: A degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent professional qualification). Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is essential for this role.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ERP systems and Excel; ability to manage high-volume financial data with high accuracy.
Analytical Ability: A proactive approach to identifying discrepancies and streamlining financial operations.
Communication: Ability to work collaboratively across production and administrative departments to ensure timely financial flow.
Availability: Must be able to commit to the full 6-month contract duration.
