We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join a leading distributor in the Life Sciences and Healthcare sector. Based at our Petaling Jaya office, you will play a critical role in managing our financial health and supporting our mission to provide innovative diagnostic and research solutions across Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will oversee the full spectrum of financial accounting and reporting:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain full sets of accounts and monthly management reports in strict compliance with MFRS/IFRS standards.
Operational Finance: Manage journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and ensure the accuracy of monthly ledger closing processes.
Planning & Analysis: Assist management in the preparation of annual financial budgets and periodic performance forecasts.
Tax & Compliance: Handle all statutory requirements, including Corporate Tax and SST filings, and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and banks.
System Management: Utilize ERP systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV) to streamline financial data and improve reporting efficiency.
Your Profile
We are looking for a candidate who combines technical expertise with a collaborative mindset:
Experience: Typically 5 to 8 years of working experience in accounting or finance.
Education: A degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/MIA).
Industry Background: Previous experience in Life Sciences, Medical Devices, or Trading/Distribution is highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with ERP software (Navision experience is a plus).
Attributes: High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a supportive team environment.
