You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, from initial business development to final delivery. This includes proactively monitoring tender opportunities and collaborating with the Business Development team on strategic initiatives. A crucial part of the role is client and consultant engagement, along with the preparation of technical proposals and financial analyses, including costing and budgeting. During project execution, you will oversee site progress, manage project finances, and submit all necessary claims and reports. Additionally, you will lead and mentor project teams, ensure strict adherence to quality and safety standards, and maintain robust stakeholder relationships. A focus on post-mortem analysis of unsuccessful bids will be essential for continuous improvement.
Business Development: Actively seek out and secure new projects by monitoring tender notices and working with the BD team to create strategic plans. You'll engage directly with clients and consultants on technical proposals.
Financial & Regulatory Management: Stay informed on market prices, prepare budgets, and conduct costing analyses. You'll also ensure all projects adhere to government regulations and compliance requirements.
Project Execution: Oversee on-site progress, manage budgets, and ensure projects are completed on time. This includes preparing progress reports, submitting claims, and handling payments.
Stakeholder & Team Management: Maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders. You'll lead and supervise project teams, resolve any issues that arise, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Continuous Improvement: Analyze past bids to identify areas for improvement and maintain compliance with ISO and company policies.

skills and experience required
Strong understanding of the water industry, especially NRW management.
Proficiency in project management methodologies.

Knowledge of government regulations related to water resources and infrastructure projects.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years in a managerial role within the water industry.
Proven experience in project management, tendering, and technical proposal development.
