We are partnering with a fast-growing retail and lifestyle brand seeking an Assistant Manager, Internal Controls and Audit to strengthen its internal control framework and uphold operational excellence across its outlets.
This is a key role for a hands-on auditor who enjoys diving deep into operational processes, driving compliance improvements, and working closely with management to identify and mitigate risks across a dynamic retail network.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and perform risk-based internal audit assignments covering financial, operational, and business processes.
Identify key business risks and control gaps, develop audit plans, and recommend effective remediation actions.
Review and assess outlet operations, financial reporting, and compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings with practical recommendations to management and the Audit Committee.
Conduct follow-up audits to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
Champion a strong governance and compliance culture, promoting continuous improvement and operational integrity.
Participate in ad-hoc investigations and special audit requests as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CFE are highly preferred.
Minimum 5 years of internal audit experience, ideally with exposure to retail or F&B operations.
Strong understanding of risk management, internal control frameworks, and audit standards (IPPF).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate findings into actionable solutions.
Proven experience in report writing, presentation, and stakeholder engagement.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel occasionally for audits.
