Our client is seeking a Customer Service (Supply Chain) Executive to join their team. This role is vital for guaranteeing the timely and cost-effective processing of customer purchase orders, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and supporting production timelines. The company requires an individual who demonstrates a strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and the ability to function as a cohesive team player.
About the Role
As the primary point of contact for customers , you will deliver exceptional support and oversee production scheduling to ensure 100% on-time deliveries. This role combines both customer service and critical supply chain planning responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Order Management: Processing customer orders and sales order issuance , and proactively communicating order status updates, delays, or issues to customers. You will resolve order-related inquiries, complaints, and discrepancies in a timely manner.
Planning & Procurement: Creating and managing purchase orders for raw materials, components, and supplies. You will also develop and maintain material requirement plans based on production schedules and customer forecasts.
Coordination & Inventory: Monitoring inventory levels to adjust material plans and avoid shortages or excess. This involves coordinating with suppliers, production, warehouse, and procurement teams to ensure smooth material flow and timely order fulfillment.
Reporting & Compliance: Tracking and reporting on key metrics such as inventory turnover and on-time delivery. You will also maintain accurate records in ERP systems and identify/implement opportunities for cost savings or process improvement.
Skills & Experience Required
Education & Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field is required. You must have 2-4 years of experience in customer order processing, material planning, procurement, or supply chain management.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools is required. Experience in manufacturing or production planning is also a strong asset.
Key Competencies: You must have strong analytical, problem-solving skills and proven experience in negotiation. Knowledge of shipping incoterms, HS code, imports/exports, and Kastam rules/regulations is necessary.
Industry Knowledge: An understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain dynamics, and procurement is essential.
