Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the faculty's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the university's overall vision and goals.
Academic Oversight: Oversee curriculum development, program reviews, and the enhancement of undergraduate and postgraduate courses to ensure they are at the forefront of the field.
Faculty Management: Lead the recruitment, mentorship, development, and evaluation of academic staff to build a high-performing and collaborative team.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, government bodies, alumni, and the wider community to foster collaborations, internships, and funding opportunities.
skills & experience required
A PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline.
Significant academic administrative experience, such as Head of Department, Deputy Dean, or a similar leadership role within a university setting.
Proven track record in securing and managing substantial research grants, with impactful publications in leading academic journals.
Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, financial management, and resource allocation.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team of academics.
