About the Role
This critical role, reporting to the S&OP Lead, is instrumental in driving the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and enhancing the business planning framework through effective cross-functional collaboration and data-driven insights.
Strategic Planning & Forecasting:
- Oversee forecasting activities across channels, customers, and product lines.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to review historical sales and marketing actions (e.g., promotions, launches, campaigns) to improve forecast accuracy.
- Align top-line sales forecasts with Finance and Supply Chain to support integrated planning.
S&OP Leadership:
... Serve as the Key Lead for the monthly Demand Review Planning meeting.
Prepare and lead Executive S&OP meetings with the Management Committee.
Utilize internal and external data sources (market landscapes, customs data, past sales) to provide strong insights, spot market trends, and share a forward business vision with management.
Operational Coordination:
Ensure compliance with established processes and deadlines, constantly recommending adaptations and improvements for efficiency.
Coordinate with commercial, marketing, and supply chain teams regarding the in-market availability of new product launches, restages, and special editions.
- Act as the key liaison for the allocations process, arbitrating and optimizing product distribution across different markets/customers.
Skills & Experience Required
Experience & Education:
Degree holder with formal business qualifications or equivalent.
Minimum 5-8 years of working experience in commercial analysis or demand planning roles.
Experience in a structured FMCG, Retail, or Premium Consumer Goods industry is essential.
Experience in supply planning is preferred.
Technical Expertise:
Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting, and forecasting methods.
Excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with demand planning software is preferred.
Competencies:
Excellent critical thinking, strong analytical skills, and a strategic mindset.
Proactive, and hands-on, able to translate strategy into concrete actions.
Strong relationship builder with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at facilitating and leading meetings at operational and senior levels.
