... This role oversees demand planning and forecasting for F&B manufacturing, ensuring alignment across commercial and supply chain functions to support efficient operations. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating activities to ensure smooth operations, timely delivery, and effective communication between internal teams and customers.
key responsibilities
Forecasting & Analysis: Prepare and update demand forecasts based on sales orders, historical data, and customer inputs.
Performance Review: Review forecast vs actual consumption and investigate variances.
Supply Chain Alignment: Work closely with Production and Material Planning to align demand with manufacturing capacity.
Commercial Coordination: Coordinate with Sales on order changes, promotions, and urgent demand adjustments.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, shelf life, and expiry risks; trigger actions to avoid shortages or write-offs.
S&OP Support: Support monthly demand review and S&OP meetings with accurate data and maintain planning data in ERP systems.
Risk Management: Highlight demand risks and operational issues and escalate when required.
Reporting: Prepare and submit periodic reports, including inventory status and outstanding orders.
skills and experience required
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain roles within F&B manufacturing or FMCG.
Technical Expertise: Proven experience managing demand forecasts across multiple SKUs with shelf-life and expiry considerations.
Process Knowledge: Hands-on experience working with S&OP / IBP processes in a manufacturing environment.
Collaboration: Experience collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Production, QC, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams.
Analytical Skills: Strong track record in improving forecast accuracy, service levels, and inventory performance.
Systems Proficiency: Experience using ERP / MRP systems and advanced Excel for planning and analysis.
Adaptability: Experience managing demand variability due to promotions, seasonality, and new product launches.
