This role requires an Electrical Design Manager to lead the design and development of electrical systems and Low Voltage (LV) switchboards, primarily for HVAC applications. You will manage the entire electrical design team, overseeing everything from conceptual design and detailed drawings to costing, component selection, and integrated project delivery. key responsibilities
...Design Leadership: Lead and manage the electrical design team in developing power and control switchboards for our systems. Oversee detailed design, drawings, and documentation of electrical panels, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Technical Review and Quality: Review and approve design calculations, single line diagrams, and control schematics. Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory requirements in all electrical design activities.
Costing and Procurement: Manage costing and budgeting for electrical switchboards, focusing on competitiveness and profitability. Identify, evaluate, and source reliable and cost-effective electrical components from approved vendors.
Team and Project Coordination: Provide technical guidance, training, and leadership to subordinate engineers. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (mechanical design, project, and procurement) to ensure integrated project delivery. Support tender preparation and project execution as needed.
requirements
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
Experience: More than 10 years of working experience in an LV switchboard manufacturing company. This must include significant experience in power and control switchboard design, with a preference for experience related to HVAC systems. Proven experience in costing, component selection, and vendor coordination is required.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership qualities with the ability to supervise, mentor, and develop a team of engineers.
Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are essential.
