Seeking a proactive merchant acquisition manager with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for driving growth and building strategic client relationships. This role offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team delivering high-impact payment gateway solutions in Malaysia. As part of our organisation, you will work in an empowering environment that values autonomy, collaboration, and high performance. The position reports directly to the Head of Sales.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Drive and execute sales strategies to acquire high-value merchants/clients across enterprise, subscription, SaaS, and utilities segments.
• Source, qualify, and engage potential clients through targeted outreach, research, and industry networking.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their business needs and challenges.
• Develop tailored value propositions that clearly articulate how our solutions address client pain points and accelerate growth.
• Lead negotiations and close complex, high-impact deals.
• Manage your sales pipeline, maintain accurate forecasts, and exceed revenue goals.
• Work closely with marketing and product teams on go-to-market strategies and sector-specific messaging.
• Monitor market developments, competitive activity, and emerging technologies in the payment gateway space.
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of B2B enterprise sales/merchant acquisition experience, ideally in payment processing, tech, or financial services.
• Demonstrated ability to close deals and drive the full sales cycle.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation capabilities.
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Knowledge of subscription, SaaS, and utilities sectors, including key challenges and buying behaviours.
• Highly driven, proactive, and effective in lead generation and relationship cultivation.
• Comfortable working independently and within a fast-paced team environment.
• Existing or developing network of decision-makers within the target industries.
• Proven experience in high-growth or subscription-driven environments.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and sales automation tools.
