The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall upkeep, maintenance, and strategic management of our physical infrastructure. This role ensures that all buildings and systems meet legal, health, and safety standards while supporting production goals. You will lead a dedicated facility team, oversee renovation projects, and manage critical utility and waste compliance to ensure seamless operational output.
key responsibilities
Team Leadership & Performance: Manage the facility department, providing direct feedback and coaching to motivate team members. Ensure all activities achieve quality objectives and departmental KPIs.
Infrastructure Maintenance: Oversee the general upkeep and repairs of buildings to ensure full compliance with health, safety, and legal requirements.
Compliance & External Liaison: Coordinate with local authorities and equipment suppliers regarding environmental, safety, and utility technical matters.
Waste & Environmental Management: Manage scheduled and general waste disposal programs in accordance with legal regulations while maintaining strict budget and record controls.
Project Management: Direct and oversee building projects, including facility renovations and refurbishments.
Resource Planning: Identify and secure necessary operational resources to meet the ongoing needs of the business.
requirements
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or related studies from a recognized university
Experience: At least 6 years of working experience within a manufacturing environment.
Technical Expertise: A strong track record and deep knowledge spanning electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
Mandatory Certifications: Must be a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Registered Energy Manager (REM) - Type 2 as recognized by the Energy Commission.
Preferred Competencies: Certified competency in Scheduled Waste, Chemical Handling, Bag Filter, or Waste Water Treatment is a significant advantage.
