As they continue to scale their operations and expand their market presence, they are seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager to lead their financial operations. This is a high-impact role for a finance professional who understands the nuances of the SaaS business model, software project costing, and the fast-paced nature of the tech world.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Senior Management, you will act as a strategic business partner, ensuring the financial health of the company. You will look beyond the numbers to provide insights on project profitability, revenue recognition, and operational efficiency. You will lead a dedicated finance team and collaborate closely with Sales, IT, and Procurement to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Finance & Revenue Recognition:

  • Oversee revenue recognition for complex revenue streams, including software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, and professional services fees.

  • Track and analyze project costing, margins, and profitability for IT/software development projects to ensure optimal financial performance.

  • Review commercial contracts to ensure favorable financial terms, including payment milestones, credit terms, and tax implications.

• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

  • Spearhead the annual budgeting process and manage periodic forecasts and financial projections.

  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance, providing actionable business insights and recommendations to the C-suite for strategic decision-making.

• Operational Accounting & Reporting:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with MFRS/IFRS and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and implement strict expense control measures.

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.

• Compliance, Tax & Risk:

  • Ensure timely submission of Corporate Tax, SST, and other statutory filings, liaising effectively with auditors and tax agents.

  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

• Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team (executives and accountants) to ensure high performance and career progression.

Key Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial capacity.

• Industry Background: Strong understanding of SaaS, IT Software, or iGaming business models is advantageous. Experience in software project costing and revenue recognition is highly preferred.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are a distinct advantage.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Soft Skills: Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to communicate complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders (Sales, IT, HR). You must be analytical, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
