Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Finance Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all general ledger operations, financial reporting, and a key focus on managing capital expenditures and fixed assets. This role is crucial for ensuring financial integrity, supporting strategic investment decisions, and maintaining compliance with all accounting and tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & General Ledger Management:
Manage and oversee daily accounting operations for the general ledger.
Lead and execute month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare, review, and maintain detailed journal entries and balance sheet schedules, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare and upload trial balances and monthly forecasted balance sheets to the EPM system.
Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) & Fixed Asset Management:
Evaluate CAPEX requisitions, conducting thorough ROI and payback analyses to ensure all investments are justified and well-supported.
Conduct post-investment evaluations to assess the effectiveness of capital expenditures.
Monitor and track ongoing CAPEX projects to ensure accurate and timely capitalization.
Approve capital expenditure-related purchase requisitions in line with budget and policy.
Oversee the entire fixed asset life cycle, including asset movements, disposals, and periodic physical verification and reconciliation.
Audit, Tax & Compliance:
Serve as the primary liaison for tax agents and consultants on all tax-related matters.
Prepare comprehensive audit schedules and documentation for both internal and external audits.
Coordinate with auditors, providing timely documents, explanations, and reconciliations to ensure a smooth audit process.
Budgeting & Planning Support:
Support the annual budgeting and long-term planning processes for fixed assets and capital expenditures.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA).
Experience: A minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting experience.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations.
Hands-on experience with General Ledger functions, financial reporting, and fixed asset accounting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of integrity.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Hands-on experience with an ERP system; experience with Oracle Fusion is a strong advantage.
