We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to oversee the company’s financial operations, strengthen governance frameworks, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial management, reporting, and compliance, while also acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership. This role requires a balance of technical finance skills, risk management, and business insight.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Oversee financial governance, internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
Manage group consolidation and preparation of statutory, management, and board-level reports.
Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to support operational and strategic planning.
Partner with senior leadership to provide financial analysis and insights that inform business strategy and decision-making.
Review and improve financial processes, policies, and systems, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the finance function.
Manage audit, tax, and statutory compliance, serving as primary liaison with auditors, tax authorities, and regulators.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, ensuring capability, performance, and succession planning.
Support strategic projects, including investment evaluations, cost optimization initiatives, and business transformation exercises.
Key Requirements
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) with substantial post-qualification experience is preffered.
Proven experience in a financial controllership or senior finance role, preferably in multi-entity or regional operations.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/MFRS), statutory compliance, and governance frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making at the executive level.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, OneStream) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building high-performing finance teams.
