We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive GL Accountant – Leasing to join our Shared Services Finance team. This role focuses on lease accounting under IFRS 16, including the preparation of journal entries, month-end close activities, and lease-related reconciliations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in compliance with internal and external standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform lease accounting in accordance with IFRS 16, including right-of-use (ROU) asset and lease liability entries

• Prepare and post journal entries related to lease contracts (new, modified, terminated)

• Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accurate lease-related GL balances

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations for lease-related accounts

• Work with procurement, real estate, and AP teams to validate lease data

• Maintain and update lease schedules in the lease accounting system

• Assist in audit requests and provide supporting documentation for lease-related accounts

• Identify and support process improvement initiatives related to lease accounting

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 2–4 years of GL accounting experience, preferably in a Shared Services or multinational environment

• Knowledge of IFRS 16 / lease accounting principles

• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)

• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)

• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Good communication and teamwork skills
