Position Summary
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for managing an engineering team, driving high-performance standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. We are seeking a proactive, positive leader who embraces challenges and possesses a strong mindset for operational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership: Serve as the primary project engineering lead, managing all project lifecycles from kick-off to implementation.
Technical Design & Feasibility: Develop comprehensive factory, machinery, and process layouts using 2D and 3D data.
Jig & Process Design: Design jigs and production processes for feasibility studies, collaborating closely with external suppliers.
Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with customers, internal teams, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered reliably and on schedule.
Production & Resource Optimization: Supervise production activities, including manpower planning, machine capacity optimization, and quality control.
Financial & Performance Management: Establish KPIs, prepare monthly reports, and assist the Head of Department (HOD) with budgeting and cost control.
Process Improvement: Identify recurring production issues and implement improvements to enhance departmental performance and ISO compliance.
Team Development: Conduct performance appraisals and manage administrative matters such as attendance and overtime.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering.
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience in engineering and project management.
Technical Proficiency: * Highly competent in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA.
Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D data.
Proven experience in jig/fixture design and factory layout planning.
Communication Skills: * Mandarin fluency is required to facilitate seamless communication with various stakeholders and regional partners.
Strong command of written and spoken English and Malay.
Excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate across departmental boundaries and with international headquarters.
Negotiation: Proven ability to negotiate lead times and costs with suppliers and external vendors.
